Pacific Design Center
A branded workplace inside an architectural landmark.
One of LA’s most recognisable buildings, and a brand that had to meet it.
The Pacific Design Center is a landmark. The blue and green glass facades by Cesar Pelli are as recognisable as any building in Los Angeles. A workplace built inside it carries that context whether it chooses to or not.
The brief was to build a flagship coworking environment that earned its location—a branded experience that understood the building it was in and held its own within it.
Multiple stakeholders. One outcome.
High-profile buildings attract high-profile stakeholders: an architectural context with its own standards, an operator with a brand and a format, a landlord with expectations, and a member community whose bar is set by the design environment they work in daily.
Coordinating those interests without losing the thread of the brief required active programme management and clear design accountability throughout.

"When the context is this strong, every decision is a design decision."
- ABrand alignment and experience strategy within an architectural landmark
- BProgramme leadership across operator, landlord and design teams
- CDesign coordination and build oversight through to delivery
- DStakeholder management across multiple competing priorities
eleven23 project.
Brand and building, coordinated as one.
The approach was to treat the architectural context as a collaborator rather than a constraint. The PDC’s design language set the level the interior had to meet, not a ceiling it was allowed to reach.
Delivering to that standard across a complex build, with multiple stakeholders and a schedule that didn’t slow down, required the kind of programme discipline that protects design intent from the pressures of delivery.
Flagship workplace delivered on brief and on schedule.
The Pacific Design Center workplace opened with the brand quality and architectural integrity the brief called for, on time and within programme.
Complexity is where most projects lose the brief.
PDC demonstrates the eleven23 ability to hold brand, experience and execution in alignment under pressure—on a project where the stakes were set by the building itself.
